Dalsland- A miniature Sweden which offers almost all available Swedish species of fish. Here you can go angling for perch, different whitefish, bream, "färna" or even carp! All types of fishing waters can be found in this province. Nutricious waters, such as lake Rådanesjön, lake Laxsjön, lake Ellenösjön and the Hajum stream provide first-class angling for large bream, ide, burbot and pike-perch. Fishing for perch and pike is very good in all waters. The larger lakes in the north, such as lake Lelång and the lakes Östra and Västra Silen are clear, cold and not very nutritious. In these waters you can find large grown pike and perch, together with salmon, salmon trout and char. The trolling fishing in particular has grown in popularity the last few years. Some lakes, for instance lake Lilla Le and lake Östra Silen also hold abundant nnmbers of large grown char. A 4-kg catch is not unlikely! The burbot and the eel are two species which are mostly neglected among sports fishermen. Both species are common in the province of Dalsland, and are best to catch on bottom angling. The eel normally weighs around a couple of kilos. In short, Dalsland is a real "smorgasbord" for fishermen and wildlife freaks- And it is only waiting for you! |
