Pike-perch
A fish which can be found in the more nutritious and shallow waters in Dalsland. The water should also be somewhat muddy. Unfortunately,only about 7-8 lakes in all of Dalsland hold pike-perch.

The pike-perch is popular among both sportsfishermen and gourmets. It can be caught in several different ways with rods. Somebody once said, that the pike-perch is a mixture between a pike and a perch.

Its teeth are sharp and the body is longstretched like a pike, and the back is striped like the perch, with backfins and all. The normal weight is around 2-3 kg, but it can weigh several kilos.
