In most of the lakes and waters in Dalsland. An important gamefish for all fish of prey. Sometimes it occurs in enormous amounts, which might mean a treat for the sportsfishermen, since large perch and pike are attracted to the bone bleak.

The taste is rather bitter why it is not recommended as a foodfish. Though, an excellent fish to angle, using worms or dough.
