Rudd
In the more nutritious waters in Dalsland. It looks like a large roach. The rudd normally weighs 0,3-0,4 kg, and is a fun fish to angle.

The rudd is a roe-eater, usually attentive when other fish, like pike, whitefish and bream, are in shallow waters during their spawning-time. The rudd is definitely no success on the dinner-table.

Suitable biotopes for the rudd are shallow waters with a rich flora in combination with nutritious water, preferrably stream outflows.
