Angling- Varied Fishing Which Requires Patience and Preparations.

The art of angling is the very origin of all kinds of fishing. Traditional angling using a hook, a line, a float and worms is always possible. However, with the spinning equipment you can reach much further, so called throw-angling. In combination with a so.- called glide-float you will be able to go angling far from the shore and vary the depths depending on where you place the "stop".

Angling for bottom living fish naturally requires different tactics- bottom angling. Here the bait is placed on the bottom, and in combination with a glide sinker your fishing experience will not be a disappointment. Bottom angling with a glide sinker works perfectly well when fishing for eel, perch, burbot, bream, carp, ide etc. Suitable baits are earthworms, bait fish, bread and so on. The angling for eel is mostly successful at the mouths of rivers, straits and other places where the eel wanders. Eel angling requires somewhat sturdier tackle, since the eel is a virtual fighter which often nails itself to the bottom. The burbot can be angled in different kinds of waters. In the stream Hajumsälven, for instance, several large burbots have been caught using bottom angling. Both burbot and eel are most frequent in larger dams and deep holes.

In lake Ellenösjön, which contains several exciting whitefish together with an exceptional number of pike-perch the angling easily developes into a really exciting adventure! Angling for pike-perch with bait fish is in general a truly rewarding method.

Last, but not least, we have to mention the classic angling for perch. The best fishing results are achieved at piles of brushwood and along deep reeds. Anchor alongside the pile of brushwood, and the perch is most likely beneath the boat. The catch is a different story…
