Finish Your Fishing Trip With a Tasty Homecooked, Caught Meal.
   

Sports fishing is of course mainly the pleasure of catching fish on a rod. The next step, to prepare and cook your own catch, is the ultimate sensation of a successful fishing experience.

Treat the catch properly from the beginning. Kill it instantly, and gut it as soon as possible, in order to prepare the fish for the dinner table. Scale the fish and keep it cool. In the summer this is of course extra important. Always watch out for the gall bladder and scrape the blood away along the spine. Before the cooking procedure the fish must be cleaned, rinsed and dried thoroughly, for the best result.

Many people say, that the best freezing result is achieved if you freeze the fish in a water-filled container, such as a milk carton. The fish then lies practically airtight, and when the cooking takes place the fish will seem virtually fresh, right from the lake!
