Fiskeland Dalsland ( "Fishing in Dalsland" ) is strategically situated, both from a Swedish and from a Scandinavian viewpoint. Only 120 km from Karlstad, Gothenburg and the Oslo region.

Dalsland also borders on Norway in the west. The province of Värmland is the closest neighbour in the north and the province of Bohuslän in the south-west. In the east lake Vänern, the largest lake in Sweden, is waiting like a gigantic inland sea. Furthermore, this lake is considered one of the best trolling waters in Scandinavia.

The easiest way to get to Dalsland is by car. In addition, it is possible to go by train. From Mellerud and heading north the Railroad of Scenic Views stretches along the Dalsland Kanal, a mainly natural canal, consisting of lakes and connecting locks. This canal is also an excellent alternative to reach Fiskeland Dalsland.
