The Trout
The Gullspång trout can be found in 5 or 6 larger lakes in Dalsland
as well as in lake Vänern. It grows fast here in Dalsland and reaches
weights around 2-3 kg after merely a couple of years.
The abundant pollan is a favourite feed for the Gullspång trout. The Gullspång trout is a sports fish well suited for trolling fishing, spinning and sometimes jigging. Single specimen weighing 11-12 kg have been caught!
This silvery fish is also one of our most popular food fish. The meat is light red and tasty.
